A travelling science museum for children after the earthquake, unfolding from a truck: flocking birds, wind running over objects, spores you spread by blowing.
When I learned that we were going to build a traveling science museum for children affected by the earthquake, I was honestly a little excited. I mean, I thought we were really going to touch someone's life. I don't know, did we cause a change in someone's life? These traveling museums, built with the aim of teaching science through art, turn into a permanent structure when the truck arrives at the desired place and its container opens up. It was one of my first big projects at Infinia. I had the opportunity to write different simulations for the inside of the trucks. A flock simulation where you can observe the movement of birds with each other and within the flock. An Object Recognition Table where you can see in real time how the wind flows over objects, with a wind simulation written in JavaScript and using Eulerian fluids running on it. A light game and electronic coding where children move the stories forward by solving puzzles. A spore spreading simulation where you can observe how mushroom spores spread, physically powered by blowing. All of these were projects that included my contributions to these museums. I hope they were able to inspire someone.
